Arch to Arc

Ably supported by wife Lucy and Mammoth Lifestyle, Tri Coach UK performance coach Steve Haywood attempted to break the world record for the "Arch to Arc" triathlon challenge. The triathlon starts with an 87-mile run from London's Marble Arch to the Dover coast, then a 22 mile cross channel swim to the French coast, and finishes with a 180 mile bike ride from Calais to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. For this challenge, the clock starts at Marble Arch and stops at Arc de Triomphe. The world record was set in 2001 by Enduroman's Eddie Ette in a time of 81 hours and 5mins. Steve only missed grabbing this record because of unfavourable tides. Only three athletes have ever completed the event.
