National Cyclo-Cross

Mud, mud and more mud made this year's championships a race for runners rather than cyclists! It certainly took the advantage away from Roger Hammond and Liam Killeen who finished fourth and fifth whereas last year they battled it out for the top two places. There was no mucking around by Great Britian Cycling Team's Olympic Development coach for mountain biking, Phil Dixon who opened up a gap on the scrap for second and held them all off on his way to winning the Elite Mens title from Nick Craig with Rob Jebb in third. Liam's coach and mentor Gary Foord travelled to Southampton with Mammoth's Dave Drayton-Green to lend support.
